So as I read through my flist (what the F is this content that may not be appropriate for minors LJ-cut thingy) I saw that aka_paloma wrote about the CBS series Moonlight. My father (seriously shocking!!!!! ) tuned me into this show. It's wonderful to me since I've been a "vampire" fan for ages it seems now. Please, if you've not watched it yet please support it!   

So it's been super long since I've posted here and I've found that I miss this place. From all the TV talk to the music and silliness of everyday life, I just miss the connection. So I thought I'd post some things that have happened just to get things going again.

*I moved to a larger townhouse in my same complex in Nov '07

*I moved in with my parents, paid off almost all my debt and am moving out in about 3 weeks

*became hooked on Ghost Hunters, Dexter (still need to watch S2), Rob & Big and Torchwood

*re-bought almost everything I lost in the flood, including my new iMac which I hooked up this weekend!

*started thinking about writing again... thinking as in coming up with character profiles, starting a prologue and jotting down the beginning of an outline

Sad to say that that is pretty much all I can come up with, but one of these things has pretty much altered my lifestyle in both good and bad ways.

So what's new with you?

So I found my wedding song on the Queens' new album Era Vulgaris. Now if only finding the perfect husband was as much fun and easy. (I kid! I kid!)

Over a year ago I had this bright notion of writing a Sarkney fic that was loosely based on the definition of a palindrome. The problem is, I discovered, it’s really hard to get something to read the same backward and forward.  Well, I tried again last night to make it right and came up with what is below. It’s a lot shorter than I had planned and might not make much sense, but it’s the effort that counts, no? No beta so all errors are very much mine. PG-13 rating. And I do not own any of these characters, blah blah blah...

Anyone know what's up with ABC playing Da Vinci's Inquest?  I wanted to see this show awhile back but kept missing it when they played it on BBC. Did ABC just start showing it or has it been on for awhile?

I was going to stay up late to watch Hex tonight on BBCA (and then suffer through tomorrow), but I just found out that Comcast will have the ep On Demand starting tomorrow! Whew! I can handle staying up til maybe 11pm, but midnight? I would seriously kill someone tomorrow.

How funny! Timothy Olyphant on My Name is Earl. I didnt see it the first time around so Im glad I caught it. That was hilarious.

Anyone else completely exhausted now? Maybe it was the fact that I watched the end of the Gilmore Girls finale and was already emotional, but I feel so TV tired right now.

I am in so much trouble! Over the course of last week I discovered a site that helps distinguish authentic jeans from the fakes on regular sites and auction sites like eBay. They also sell designer jeans on there for very very decent prices! If you are a designer jean freak like me, it is definitely worth a look.

Honest Forum

I just bought a pair of Flynt Black Crystal Seven jeans for a great deal! And they pointed me in the direction of the Neiman Marcus sale where I bought a pair of R&R Scorpions for $79.

It is my bday month, so I know the $ will be coming in, but I am having a really hard time trying to save at least some of it!

NIN coming back in concert. Happy to say that I will be getting tickets to Ridgefield for my bday! YAY! So excited about it.

I just got over the worst sickness ever! Sat thru Tuesday I was either on the couch or in bed, only leaving when I had to take my duder to school or pick him up from daycare. I still cant taste anything and am feeling the sinus drainage, but at least I can function now.

Finally watched Shaun of the Dead. What a good quirky fun movie. I especially love how long it took the zombies to break into a window but there was no problem at all digging into a body. Hilarious.

I had tried to watch The Unit this week but I ended up crashing way before it was on. I sort of browsed my flist to see reactions but tried not to read too much to spoil. Anyone care to enlighten me about the goodness/badness?

Any other mid-season shows worth watching? (Am a bit desperate for some new stuff, actually)

Bleh. Keep burping up my garlic chicken.

No new computer yet, but am hoping to be able to type freely soon.
